Lazy Sunday

It's  been one of them days where it feels like nothing is going right, but still isn't an absolute crap day. (:
Slouched up in bed with some coffee and attempting to study and send off job applications, can't get much more productive than this?

Sweats, christmas socks, puppy coffee mug and some film arts. Why the heck not.

Also large scale ATTEMPTS at being somewhat healthy, and made myself some delicious fried rice. Benefits of being a student? Creating your own meals out of what you have and it tasting like heaven in your mouth.

And the job search commences..

Leather

Biggest fan of leather jackets, but mine seems to be cursed.
Paid a fortune for it, and the zipper just doesn't like me. After numerous mishaps with it, it is like brand new.. almost. Cannot wait for the weather to warm up so that I can wear it for longer periods of time rather than the quick runs to the supermarket. Oh happy days.

Let me present to you, the Bershka MEN'S leather jacket which is amazing. Yes it is a men's jacket, and yes it is in L. I have a passionate hate towards most of the women's leather jackets which many of the stores sell. Firstly, because half the time they are over priced and still look cheap or just the fact that they are the short kind. The ones which reach down to about your belly button, not very flattering on me. Therefore, this is my baby, an oversized men's jacket.

Now I've gotta pick up the courage to wear more leather... someday. One can dream right?

A sweet tune for some sweet memories.

Red

Such a love hate relationship with red lips. Specifically the Rimmel color stain lipstick...

...and it is definitely a stain, therefore one of the most difficult things to get off. Numerous scrubs with makeup wipes, make up remover and the whole lot. Might have done a chemical peel and just tear all the skin off and it would have came out the same. aka sore lips D:

A hair dye session is also due. Look at them flashy roots.

Only after moving out do you realize how good you had it back at home.

Snow

Snow in Holland? Really?
How awesome, in a way. Bought a winter coat just in time for this semi-unfortunate weather.

Siberian chills blowing across all of Europe, I wish you all a very cold week! :D
Not quite as much snow here. Once I'm in Finland, I'll most likely be complaining about the knee deep snow and other factors which come with it snowing uncontrollably.

Rewind

I am slightly mad at myself for not keeping up this writing for the past year.
So much has changed, most of it in a positive way. I don't know where to begin.

My initial goal was to go to university in Finland. Haaga-Helia, to be specific for hotel management, however all of that did not work in my favor and I had to go with plan B.
So here I am, living in the northern most city in Holland, studying and having a surprisingly great time.

It's the complete opposite of Dubai, the weather, the people, the culture, just everything about it. Even though, I have my moments where I just want to go back home to my family, puppies and friends, I've just gotta suck it up (: But the christmas break opened my eyes a little bit, besides my family, everything else felt like something I wouldn't enjoy anymore, I felt like an outsider even though I was with people I've been friends with for years in an environment I've previously said I felt 'safe' in. So coming back here, to have my OWN life and make decisions for myself wasn't such a big deal anymore. I'm glad I dealt with the homesickness, and slowly but surely this town is now becoming a home.
