Surprise !

So I have traveled across the world to Dubai to see my lovely family (: I'll try and stay away from the computer as much as I can because I only have a limited time. But I'll try my best to take as many pictures and such. That is all :D

Wild Party

How do you know you're getting old? Not sure, but I take the fact that I can't be arsed to go out and party anymore as a sign. Emily and I have wild parties by ourselves inside the comfort of our own homes, it's quite exciting actually.

drooopy cheeks (:

Getting ready to go to hers as we speak... Love our spontaneous 'hangout' session... When we're really just hanging the next morning from alcohol poisoning. Goodbye

A Beautiful Mane

So I've decided to share the best hair products for styling etc. that I've found. After years of searching and testing I think I've found the products which work for me...for now. My hair is nuts and incredibly damaged because it has been tortured and dyed so many times over the years. I tend to get bored and dye my hair too much, and this hay that is now coming out of my head is the end result. Anyway, to the point, 3 best styling products are ...

John Frieda Frizz-Ease Leave-in Conditioner, TIGI Catwalk Heat Safe Styler & SYOSS Max Hold Hairspray
I get out of the shower and spray some of the leave in conditioner onto damp hair and attempt to comb through the birds nest with a comb. When I feel that all the naughty tangles are out leaving the hairs all soft and nice, I'll spray some heat safe styler. Clearly before I blowdry or straighten/curl the hair. Protection! And then of course, last but not least, hair spray everything accordingly. And that's how I get this lovely mane... or something close to it anyway.

Sister

Hi guys, my sister has started blogging on top of her YouTubing. So I reckon you should go check her out ;)

Indian Chai

This weather is truly fucking me up. Apologies for my language, but it really is. I've now come down with a cold. Almost done crying about the weather, almost. But it was so nice about 2-3 weeks ago, what happened Holland? What happened? Then again, I should be grateful because apparently it's snowing in Finland, CTFxC informed me of this unfortunate weather all you Finns have to deal with. (ps. If you haven't watched CTFxC, you haven't lived life.Click here;) )

Just take a guess who had trouble getting up this morning and how many times the snooze  button was pressed before I actually got up and dressed. Lets just say 30 mins worth of snoozing. Had to rush to a lecture feeling like poop on a stick. 100% hoodie, big scarf, thick tights kind of thing. What an exciting life.. really. Time to watch Dead Man (nom nom Johnny Depp) and drink some Indian Chai tea and let my immune system die a little more. Hope your week is going better than mine. Love.

Moisturize!

So I thought I'd share some of my absolute favorite lotions/body butters, because, who doesn't like to moisturize? No but really, I've got some crazy lotion obsession phases where I can't go anywhere without lotion, and then sometimes I just forget. Most importantly they need to smell yummy or its a no go.

If you EVER get your hands on any Soap & Glory creams or shower gels etc., don't hesitate to buy! Because I can say that they make the best products. It does have a smell that takes some getting used to and such, but even the smell in my opinion is yummy. They come in all sized jars and tubes and I've just got plenty of small ones which are easy to shove in a bag.
I think the Body Shop body butters are self explanatory, and they just smell delicious.
And then, perfumed lotions. I feel that if you've got the perfume to go with it, it's an easy way to make the scent last much longer. Right now I've only got the Paco Rabanne BlackXS lotion and sadly ran out of the perfume, sniff, and then the Calvin Klein Euphoria. Both are very night time scents, but very 'me'.
Bath & Body Works also always have the most amazing things, I just had to throw away a 'Winter Candy Apple' lotion. It smelled like Christmas and candy apples in a tube. Insert sad face here.
Anyways cupcakes, that is all for now, not much has been going on in my life. Classes have started, the weather is being a bipolar woman and it's just too grey outside to get inspired by anything. All that boring stuff. But I shall return with some interesting stuff perhaps when I drag myself outside, maybe someday...

Inspiration

This is something EVERYONE needs to watch. It is amazing and I am so moved by this old man and all the opportunities technology offers. He will live as a happy man for the rest of his life with music by his side.

Singapore

Oh Singapore. This is the country which 'internationalized' me. It's where I learned to speak English and it's the place which has pushed me out of my comfort zone many, many times. I remember when my dad told me that we were going to move, and how upset I was because I didn't want to leave Finland, I didn't want to leave my friends and most of all I had no idea how to speak English. But now I couldn't be more grateful for the fact that I spent around 6 years of my life in the most amazing city ever. After living in Singapore, there is no way I could move back to Finland. And that is exactly what happened, after a year long stay at Kirkkonummi, my family and I got out as fast as we could. Who knows maybe its the inner traveler in me which just doesn't want to stay in one place for long. I've even been nicknamed the 'Globetrotter' by one of my instructors, but that is just how the cookie crumbles, and I'm forever grateful for all the opportunities I've had.

I left my heart in Singapore, and for many years I visited as often as I could. I believe '09 I was there twice. And, those vacations were the best, full of fun times and such. But the last time I was there, things didn't go as planned and I left in a funk, fell out with my bestfriend, huge fights and arguments. And for what? The immaturity took 'control' of all of us, and resulted in fall outs. I won't deny it, that trip left a dent in my memory of the place and I haven't been back since. However, no matter what, Singapore will always have a special place in my heart and it will forever remain one of the most amazing, spectacular places on earth. Just wish things would have gone down a different road.

Assuming that I was trying to color out a ridiculous pout/fishlips of some sort. NYE '09
So that's that. Just taking a nostalgic trip down memory lane, and hoping that I'll return to this amazing country some day in the future. Who knows where I'll be 5 years down the line, but I for sure as hell can guarantee you it won't be in Holland. haha.
Have a great Thursday my lovelies.

Whats in the baggage?

So I thought I'd do a quick 'Whats in my bag' post. The weather has been acting up again aka. its a load of poopoo, and I've just been feeling a tad ill. Post-exam syndrome part II? Could be.
Mentally and physically exhausted, so all I've been doing is sitting at home eating junk and watching tv, lots and lots of tv! The best way to go. You can expect a tv show centered post sometime in the future, because I'm obsessed. But back to the point, here's the contents of my enormous, giant, elephant sized bag. Everything I take to uni with me, could also just do some weight lifting with it because it must weigh at least 5 kg. hehe.

1. Bag - Aldo 2. Wallet, headphones, Marimekko 'pencil case' 3.Make-up bag & brush 4. Keys, highlighters, lighters, Mac Lipglass, sunnies, umbrella. 5. Notebook, Victoria's Secret Pink body mist, Blackberry.

I've come to the realization that there is too much pink in these pictures and also that I really need to empty out the make-up bag. It looks like its 9 months pregnant and ready to give birth. So that will be left for another time, I may do a separate post on the make-up bebes that bag is filled with. Last but not least, something very exciting is happening at the end of this month, so keep tuned for that. Tons of pictures coming up.

Goodbye for now chipmunks!

Details

Here comes a semi apartment post. Including some of the things I use to 'spice' up this pretty boring student apartment I call my home. Being a student and having that student budget thing going on, the last thing I've got on my mind is furnishing this little pad, but some things have just accumulated around the house and make some cute details overall. What I've also noticed is that it's all red. Heh. But I believe it works, since my walls have been painted a dark grey.

My Cappucino tower, which I barely use. Whoops

Ikea little blanket things, cheap and extremely useful!

Goes to show that you don't need to spend hundreds of euros to have cute things around. However, this fireplace/painting of a fireplace was already here when I moved in. It used to sting my eyes every time I looked at it because it's just so ugly and funny at the same time, but it's slowly starting to grow on me. Still pretty hilarious though. I've usually got either cinnamon or vanilla inscents burning around for some nice homey smells.
So yes there you go, my collection of many red things around the house, including my bright red laptop and giant red sofa. hehee.
